Hello, this is school homework. We are two students on 3ert of ESO that we’ve got to do a blog about anything that we like, enjoy and we’re fans of. We decided to do it about Facebook, because it has a lot of interesting things, and we spend a lot of time in the computer talking and doing different thing in this social network.
If you want to say anything or comment please put your opinion, this is just another way to be in contact with people around the world.

Facebook history

Facebook is a social network that was created in 2007 by Mark Zuckerberg and founded by Eduardo Saverin, Chris Hughes, Dustin Moskovitz and Mark Zuckerberg.
The first idea was that this social network works like an email for Harvard students, but now is available for everyone that has an email.
In 2007, Facebook started in Spain, France and Germany and in the same summer, it has more than 500 million users.
When Facebook began, it was just for students of American universities, but a lot of people want to be user, and then the expansion was easy and fast. In 2006 iTunes Store and the creators of this social network did an arrangement because iTunes want to know the kind of music that people like, and listen. Then they put a link and users can go straight to iTunes home page.
Until 2007 it was just for students around the world, but then a lot of people want one and they opened for everybody.
At the moment, the police and the government use it to know more thing of the people that life in the world.

Anna's opinion

In my opinion Facebook is a very useful thing where a lot of people can be connected at the same time, can share photos, tell everyone important thing for him/her, people can talk with other persons that are really far and the communication is fast and efficient, and also you can talk without necessity to pay anything, it’s totally free.
Facebook it’s useful for the companies because they can see the things that people do and like, and then they can put all the necessities in the market for everyone.

Eduard's opinion

For me Facebook, is a very useful tool, because you can communicate with everyone in the world at the moment you want, but it is also a very useful tool for people to get to know you better, but not the way you really are, just the way that you choose to show yourself to the rest of the world, even in 99,9% of times, what you show on Facebook, it’s a really different personality.

Famous people

In Facebook, you also can meet famous people and comment about their lives and what you like and don’t like about them, and you can also comment their pictures, with other fans of around the world. And you can also talk about movies, books…
People give their opinion, and other people comment about it. It’s an easy way to find out about a new movie, and good things that might interest you.

This year, David Fincher (a film director) did a movie about the history and the problems that the Facebook creator has when they invent this social network. This movie is called “the social network”. The principal actors are: Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield and Justin Timberlake. The plot is the entire thing that has happened from the beginning when they had the idea until they put Facebook in the market, and all the problems that the creators had when they were trying to do something but a lot of people has been not with his idea.
Finally you can see that the personality of the main character was very equal and similar with the personality of the real person.

A lot of people uses facebook over 500 million people, and 50% of that users use
facebook every day. Average users have about 130 friends, and spend 700 billions minutes every month.
In facebook, there’re more than 900 millions objects for people to interact with (links, webs, groups…)
The facebook has more than 70 translations in every language. And over 300.000 help to translate in different languages.
Every month 250 million people sign up for facebook, and over a 2,5 million websites have integrated with facebook.
More than 200 million users sign in facebook through they mobile phone every month. And those users use facebook as twice as much as non-mobile users.
